My Favourite Subject

In my first year at the university my favourite subject is psychology. I have this subject twice a week and the teacher than teach me is called Juan Enrique Wilson. I like so much this subject because is the subject more important in my first term and it is directly connected with my career. Besides this subject contain many different and interesting contents about basic psychological topics.

Then, psychologist subject is very important, because it provide me the basic and elemental tools, knowledge and abilities for being a good psychologist.

In psychology I have learnt many different issues. First and for introducing in the area, you can learn about the different psychology areas (Clinical, Educational, Social…). Later there are other topics such as study of memory, motivation, cognitive development, etc.

A very important thing that the teacher taught us in the class is that Psychology is a transversal discipline, then we have study other areas too and this way we can see the problems in a integral form. For remembering this, the teacher says us: “Look the forest not the tree”.

My Future

Well, first I hope to be alive in 5 years. What would I like to be doing? Many many things:

I would like to have ended my Psychology career and I hope to be beginning my doctorate in Psychoanalysis according to Jung Theory. So, I will want to be working as psychologist and to be studying my postgrade in Analytical Psychology at the same time. If you see, I like the clinical area of Psychology and then I will go for this path.

Besides, I would want to live in my own department and with my girlfriend, maybe. But I do not wish kids, because my plan of live does not include being a dad. I would like to travel too. I do not see my future hear I see my future in other country. But before I’ll want to travel to Europe and then I will choose a country and to live there.

My ideal future includes studying alternatives therapies too, because I think it is very interesting.

Carl Gustav Jung

In my opinion the best in my field is a psychiatrist and psychologist called Carl Gustav Jung. I think that Jung is the better in his area because he investigated new things about the personality and how it is connected with psique structure and the cultural manifestations.

In the beginning Carl Jung was disciple of Sigmund Freud, but after some differences, Jung went on his own path and he founded the Analytic Psychology (called Jungian Psychology, Psychology of Complexes or Psychology Deeper too). This is a new psychoanalyst form, but I think it is very different from Freud’s psychoanalyst because in his school he integrated very different disciplines such as: Anthropology, Dreams, Art, Alchemy, Mythology, Religion and Philosophy. Because all this reasons that I like so much Psychology of Carl Jung.

Besides he was the first person that investigated and documented the relation between Archetypes and Unconscious and he formulated a famous theory called Collective Unconscious.

My career: Psychology

I’m studying Psychology because is an interesting career and because when I was in my last grade at school, I had many health problems for stressing. I have epilepsy then the attacks increased that year for the same cause. So, my doctor can’t control my epilepsy very well and that moment I though in the famous phrase “healthy mind, healthy body”. Because if you have a healthy mind, and you are very good emotionally, the probabilities of sound falling ill you go down.

The psychologists contributes to society by helping welfare to people in their environment in different ways, for example: Healing psychopathologies, improving behavior, making it more pleasing their integration into society and at work, etc. The psychologist needs psychological tools, such as, patient, empathy, critical observation and critical reasoning, etc.

I’m in my first year, so I don’t have clear right now, but I think that I will prefer the clinical psychology and the Neurosciences, because I like so much the biology in the psychology.

This is my first year hear, so we must read a book called Psychology and Life. This book contains all basic knowledge of this beautiful discipline called Psychology. I found this link in the bibliography section of book, and then I visit it very often, but overcoat when I have quiz or when I have an exam.

I like so much this site web, because it has multiple tools and activities to review the contents of chapters. For example, essay questions, true or false questions, and multiple choice questions. Additionally, in this site web I found flashcards that explain the contents in a dynamic form, and this was so good for my studing. Other important tools that this website offers are the general objective and specific objective. These objectives are a guide for me because this form, I can know the concepts and the contents more important that I must learn.

So you know. If you are in first year, and don’t know anything about psychology, this website is a very good place for learning the basics knowledge.

I like this photograph because...

I love so much this photograph because is an important and special remember in my life. This photo shows my old best friends when we travelled to the beach, in the winter holiday of 2007 year. In that moment I was 17 years old. In that trip we went to Yeco Beach, near Algarrobo, because Cinthya, my friend, has a house in that place.

The Cinthya’s mother took this photograph, when a day we went to beach and saw the sea only, because the weather was very cold. Then, the photograph shows a group of good friends in a beach day.

That day, I remember we enjoy so much; we took us photos in the sea, in the sand, in the gigantic rocks and we took us photographs in the beautiful forest, too. Else, we played and did very funny things, such as, sing, and play guitar. I like this photo for a special reason, but not so happy reason, because this friends group doesn’t exist anymore. Some people went out of the group, and other discussed and they broke up friendship forever. This wasn't a happy end, yeah. But the life go on...

My piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is a laptop (usually called notebook, too), because this one allow me do very different things. For example, in my laptop, I can study for my university class and my quiz, I can do works and meet with my friends in MSN Messenger, etc. I got my first laptop when I am 15 years old, it was a gift of my father to me.... but, a day I took my laptop and I fallen and my piece of technology disappear in one hundred pieces. However, in Christmas, my parents gift me a new laptop and the life returned to my body xD.

I use my laptop every day ¿How? Well, I read very much about various topic, I listen to music, play sometimes, but the most important is look my friends of others countries for webcam. Then, the laptop is a very very important technological piece for me, so I use it every day on night, and the firts I do is to read my e-mail.
